I retired from full time work in 2021, though I am still active in part-time paid and pro bono
work for Small and Medium Business Enterprises (SMES) and not-for-profit organisations.
I have over 40 years of experience working in universities in Finland, Malaysia, New Zealand and
Singapore. I was President of Raffles University, Malaysia, from 2013-2021, a new private
university I started up for Raffles Education and the Malaysian Government.
I am an expert in corporate governance and the design of management systems for SMES. I
have designed complete and partial management systems covering quality management, IT
management, operations management, design management, process planning, and project
management.
Antardisha is a private entity creating a space for individuals, collectivities, organizations and institutions to have a dialogue to discover themselves, to review their past, to reflect on the present ‘Here and Now’ and renew themselves for the future. Prof. Parikh is the Founder President of FLAME University, Pune until 2015.
She has been involved in creating the academic vision of holistic and Liberal Education and shaping FLAME. She has also conceptualized the models of management development programs anchored in thresholds of Life, Life Space and Work Space, and Life Roles and Identity. Her focus is on transformation and lifelong learning, development and growth. She is the founder member of Sumedhas Academy of Human Context.
Prof. Parikh has done M.Ed from University of Rochester, New York USA and the Doctorate from Gujarat University. She was a faculty at IIM-Ahmedabad for over 30 years and Dean from 2002 to 2005. She has taught at INSEAD, Fontainebleau (France) and Texas A&M University. She has specialized in organization development and design, and institution building. She has been a consultant and conducted diagnostic studies for organizations. She has designed and conducted leadership and institution building programs in public sector, private sector and multinational organizations. Professor Parikh is on several boards of companies as an independent director.
Prof. Parikh has been honored with several life time achievement awards both nationally and internationally for her contribution in Education, HR and for Women. She has written numerous articles published in National & International Journals and is the co-author/ author of several books. Her lifelong journey has been in education and transformation of women, men and youth to grow into fine human beings.
Currently, Prof. Parikh is engaged in developing Leadership Model conceptualized on Work Space, Social Space and Life Space anchored in self-reflectivity and identity. She is involved in preparing a teacher faculty development assessment scale to explore role and identity of teachers.
Raymond Crown is an accomplished leader with nearly three decades of experience in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), project management, and strategic leadership. His expertise spans both public and private sectors, with a particular focus on education, digital transformation, and infrastructure development. With a strong foundation in business strategy, governance, and financial oversight, he has successfully led large-scale projects, optimized operations, and shaped institutional policies.
As ICT Director at the University of the Western Cape (UWC), Crown spearheaded multiple digital transformation initiatives aimed at aligning technology with educational goals. He played a pivotal role in implementing key systems such as Human Capital Management, Residence Management, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and student administration platforms. His leadership was instrumental in modernizing UWC’s IT infrastructure, overseeing digital connectivity upgrades, Wi-Fi densification, and the university’s COVID-19 ICT response.
A certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Crown has managed complex ICT and infrastructure projects, handling budgets exceeding R200 million annually. He has also provided strategic oversight on built infrastructure projects valued at over R3 billion. His experience in IT governance and risk management ensures compliance with regulatory frameworks, including the Public Finance Management Act, while his business acumen, supported by an MBA from Stellenbosch Business School, allows him to integrate technical execution with financial and strategic planning.
Beyond his role at UWC, Crown has provided consulting and advisory services through X4O Pty Ltd, working across sectors such as human settlements, water, and sanitation. His commitment to governance is evident in his active participation in the UWC Senate, ICT Governance Committee, Human Resource Committee, and Audit and Risk Committee. Under his leadership, UWC achieved its first Clean Audit for General IT Controls in 20 years, with sustained clean audits for three consecutive years.
Crown’s passion for education extends to skills development and vocational training, where he is actively involved in non-credit-bearing initiatives aimed at workforce readiness. His expertise in academic governance, digital learning strategies, and infrastructure planning has made a significant impact in shaping institutional efficiencies and operational excellence.
With extensive experience in technology-driven education solutions, large-scale project execution, and governance, Raymond Crown continues to be a key figure in the advancement of digital transformation and institutional development.
